Thats a good point, and you got me thinking, I really don't know why I haven't wondered this before. How does gunmetal look at night? I would say I do 50% of my driving is at night, and at night is when the good times with a car are taking place, not commuting to work during the day.

it all depends on tint...i say if you have a dark tint...get gunmetal, itll match more, and it depends on ur future plans...CF hood/trunk...either way its a nice set of rims...cant go wrong

silver = prettier
darker = sportier

which ever is your preference. I think they both look just as good.

for a dg coupe i'd definitely go for merc. silver. i saw one on gm challenges and it just looked a bit plain to me, i really like the contrast with brighter wheels.

p.s: the pics of the rims on that coupe you posted currently belong to me

Silver! Like someone else mentioned the contrast between them and your DG brings out the wheels...They give the car a clean, fresh look...Both are nice, but I'd def go Silver...

Of course its just a matter of personal taste, but I like the silver - it looks classier IMO.

I like both as well. Each gives the car a different look. THe silvers make the car look classy, yet maintain a sporty appearance. The gunmetals make the car look agresive. Also, the gunmetals look much better in person too, especially on DG. I'd go with gunmetal. It's a coupe and they are meant to be agresive looking cars. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong.

Thanks for all your inputs guys. Can someone answer how gunmetal looks at night. Will you lose the appearance of the spokes completely and look as if your riding on lips?

Ive seen the those gm at night. They actually pretty visible as the spokes are
pretty flat and reflective...but if you're those like to get together at night and show
off your car, silver is the way to go. the silvers almost look too white in the sun.
(my bright satin on my GT3's are actually like the best of both worlds).

I actually think the Gm looks better at night. You dont really see the spokes but you see shiney silver lip. With the Merc Silver, all you see is a big shiney mess. The lips are not too visible.

Also, if you are going to get aftermarket rims you might as well go with the more aggressive look. Too many people have silver rims. I saw a new coupe with the 19 in OEM wheels on the freeway and you cant really tell the difference between them and any set of volks that are silver. (rolling that is)
I say go with BLACK. shoot..stand out..you are going to pay more than 3 Gs. Might as well get attention for it.

Im getting more thumbs up from people on the freeway due to the GM rims. It just catches peoples eyes better. OHH YEAH...my car is CB too. that might help also.

interesting to see my car posted........... but i vote for GM :P guess i'm a little biased.. but it looks a lot more agressive. Especially when driving, u see the lip spinning.. heres another pic of it that kinda shows what it might look like
