!!!19" Volk Racing Rims In!!!56k Warning

Well...i ordered the rims Jan 12th..and they came intoday finally....BUT...its freaking pouring RAIN outside...and it will continue to do so for most of the this week and next week..... :-(

Few Comments....I noticed that the LUG NUTS that come with the rims are not the 21mm size that the STOCK ones are (i believe they are 19mm or 18mm)..that is crap..and they are cheap feeling (no VR markings on them, so generic) does anyone know if i can fit the stock lug nuts on without any problems??? The rims look awesome. The Michelin PS 2 tires don't have an aggressive tread pattern but they are great tires..not sure if they are worth the extra $$...I do believe in quality the rims do not surpass that of BBS..
(had a set of RXII on a previous car)....but i think they are equal to that of the BBS's. its a close call..

Also Anyone know if i can order wheel locks for the stock G and have them fit as well...once again....i hate the fact that the stock is 21mm...and these bolts are not the same...I Hope someone can tell me if the stock ones can fit...or i can order a new set from the dealer....I have to wait to mount them....stupid rain...

SO....19" SF winnings +19/+29.....i had +29 ordered infront but mackin (?) said that +29 would not clear brembos and +19 was what i needed and corrected my order without me even knowing it...(discovered this later)

By the way..thanks to bzabodyn and profile4 for all their help..and Revhighonline got my rims in just over 2 months.. (2 months 11 days) ordered Jan 12th..the rims were in 1.5 weeks ago..and i had to wait for the tires....

I'll have pics up when they are finally up

Do not use the 21 mm lug nuts on the Volks. Use the 19mm sent by Volks. Otherwise you'll scrape your brand new wheels. Believe me, I've had the same situation in the past and it won't work. The 19mm is all you need to fit these wheels into your car. Congrats on the purchase.

Very beautiful wheels! Excellent choice. The thing that gets me is why did Mackin tell you that anything lower than +29 offset will not fit Brembos? You can go way lower than that. I have +17 offset and I have a friend with the same rims with +17 offset for the rears. With a +17 offset you get a little over 5" lip on the rear.

Now for locking lugs, you can get Ray's Lugs, Motegi, Kekujin, Gorilla, etc... You must use 19mm lug nut b/c the hole is smaller for the bolt. If you use higher, then you will scratch your rims. Just have a key that is both 19 and 21mm for the socket.

with the +17...it will rub with the tires....you can go deeper lip in the back...but i did NOT want to modify the fenders or roll anything..for the rear.....as for the front.....mackin said +29 in the FRONT will not clear the brembos...like i said they corrected my order to +19 FRONT without me even knowing....

I installed the rims...but i do have some more comments...i think the front rim/tire sticks out too much...by 1/4"....does anyone have any comments about 8.5 front and 10.5 rear?? is that TOO much stagger for the cars handling??

What size are your wheel combo, 8.5 front and 10.5 rear? Wat size tires do you have on the front wheels? Can't see why a 8.5 wheel would stick out?

i'm pretty sure its a 9.5 in the front. Hey allforthecash, I thought as long as you took disck type A, you should be able to clear brembos? On their website (mackin industries), I think it notes that disk type A clears big calipers of skylines, fairlady's (z32, z33), etc...

if you go here:
http://www.mackinindustries.com/rays_sfwinning.html
and then click on the size chart, and look at the notes on the bottom.

So i would think you could go with a 9.5 with a +29 offset. I dunno, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

nice choice of rims! are u runnin 8.5 or 9.5 in the front? man, mackin str8 told me that 9.5s wouldnt work in the front without clearing the fenders and all these problems, tried to sell me 8.5's and 9.5's rear...i str8 told them to give me the 9.5's and 10.5's and i'll worry about the rest...not one issue so far with rubbing, but i do admit that the brembo clearance is nominal, i'd give it like 1/8th of an inch, but clearance is clearance whether its 1/8th of an inch or 1 inch, just as long as i dont get a pebble in there, lol! good luck with the rims dude, it looks great!

Yes the +19mm infront with the 9.5 has just enough clearance for the brembos...and it looks hot!

What i have now...is 275/35 rear and 245/35 FRONT...the rims are 10.5 and 9.5.....i think the front rim is WAY TOO STRETCHED!!....i think the 8.5 in the front would have been better??? can i do a 255 tire in front with the 275 in the back? or will that throw off the stagger??????
