need a little help

so i was installing my tein s-techs tonite. The rears were easy as hell. my question is with the front, when you compress the springs onto the shock, and tighten up the top bolt, how do you know the 3 bolts that go into the top of the tower are going to match up, because they ddint. Did you guys keep the compressor om while you installed it? and then get at the middle bolt from the top? Also, tein recomended i cut the bump stops, but there are no bump stops, just a rubber dust sleeve that goes down about 8 inches over the shock, lil confused? i got a 2003 coupe thw, thanks .
