Question Nismo rims no good with VDC????

Anyone know why this site says that Nismo wheels aren't for vehicles with VDC? What would VDC have to do with rims?

Here's the link, just click on either wheel.

TIA

VDC and ABS programs are based upon certain tire heights and tire stagger. The LMGT4's are with the recommended tires are the same height as the stock 18" (for 03/04 coupes) so the ABS is happer. The recommended tires are wider than the stock setup, so the VDC could potentially freak out a bit with the new setup.

That being said, I haven't heard of anyone running into VDC problems due to LMGT4's or new wheels in general.

The disclaimer is probably to fend off the lawyers.

There are absolutly no issues with the Nismo LMGT4 wheels when used on the coupe and when used with the proper sized (245/40 - 275/40/18) tires. NONE!

Is the recommended size 275/35/19 or 235/35/19 , will this be ok with vdc

For the 8.5" front and 9.5" rear those sizes should be 245/35/19 and 275/35/19.

Thanks any reason why nismo wrote for non-vdc? will it make the vdc go off all the time or something?

No, 245/35/19 in the front, 275/35/19 in the rear, and the reason they are listed as for nonvdc cars is becaue they were tested on a Z without VDC, so to be safe they don't approve them for VDC use. Doesn't mean they won't work with VDC though
