Smallest rims that fit over Brembos?

Can we fit 17's? Is that the smallest we can fit? 16's in the rear maybe?

Thanks in advance.

The size of the rotor for the rear is actually slightly larger than the front, so I doubt the rear can take a smaller size. According to tire rack, the smallest that can fit is 17s.

I believe 17's are the absolute smallest you can go. The offset, width, and spoke pattern also factor into the equation.

Theretically, for a given wheel design, a 1" smaller diameter is on;y 1/2" smaller in radius. Just eyeing the clearance between the stock 18" wheels and the Brembos, it would appear you have more than 1/2" of clearance. Most 17's will probably clear the diameter. As someone mentioned before, spoke clearance is also important, which will probably be the boigger concern. I seem to recall seeing the stock 17" wheels for the Z mounted over the Brembo on a pre-production Z.

Let me know if you find a cheap lightwieght 17x9 wheel with a more aggressive then stock offset, so far the only option is getting the 350z wheels

i have seen a coupe running with ssr comps in i believe 17 x 9. you can also try 5zigen fno1r's they come in very aggresive offsets and the spokes on 17 are the ones that bend like low offset te37's. they come in 17 x 10 with up to a +12 offset.

Someone on another website has 16's I think on their G with Brembos. Very difficult wheel to find i think. If i remember correctly it was either an old 300zx wheel or possibly pontiac grand am wheel or something along those lines. I also think Weld may have had a wheel that would fit, 16" as well but they no longer make them. Obviously, these would be for slicks or drag radials only. Again not positive about which wheel it is, but I am almost certain a 16" wheel can fit if you find the right one.

temporally I have a set of 17" 350z wheel on and they clear the brembo no problem, from the looks of it you may be able to get a 16" on

Thanks for the input guys. After some more thought, even if you could fit 16's, it might be hard to find them in the proper widths. 17's would have more selection and be easier to find. So far the ones I've been considering are:

5 Zigen FN01R-C
Gram Lights 57C
Gram Lights 57S

And if you got a lil more money to spend:
Volk Racing TE37
Volk Racing CE28N
SSR Competition

OK, after looking at the 5 Zigen FN01R-C, I just realized a couple things about the offsets. 17x8 +25, good for the fronts. 17x9, no good offsets for front or rear use. 17x10 +25, good for rear. However the rim pictured above in the new black polish color is not availible in our offset for the rear. So if you want to go FN01R-C, you would have to go 17x8F, 17x10R, and only bronze or silver. The FN01R-C is by far the cheapest rim you can get though.

The next cheapest would be either of the Gram Lights, 57C or 57S. With that you could go 17x8.5F and 17x9.5R +22 offset all around.
