Eibach vs H&R
Re: Eibach vs H&R
Their's a post on my350z.com where someone is getting them for his Z. He was talking in a way that made it look like he was getting one of the first sets to come to market.
I have owned H&R springs on a couple of my past vehicles. On those cars H&R's R&D was shown to me to be superior to Eibach. And that stood true for a whole slew of FWD applications where Eibach feels that absurdly weak rear spring rates are proper for performance FWD tuning. Nothing could be further from the truth. Yes were talking about RWD, but a companies false thinking in one area, might hold true to another. Their G35 sedan springs do have higher rear spring rates, not a choice I'd make. However their 350Z springs are pretty much equal front to rear with their spring rates.
Another thing to consider is that the stock springs are linear. Where as, the aftermarket one's are progessive. You'll gain some ride comfort and the expence of giving up a part of your car's reflex's or tossability. Coilovers have linear springs to btw.

Re: Eibach vs H&R
If H&R had made springs, I would have gotten them instead of my Eibach's for a lower and better ride in my opinion. I never liked Pro-Kits, but Eibach is the only repitable company who makes springs for our cars at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I do like the ride and feel of the car now but it can be slightly lower in my opinion. If H&R comes out with something soon, I may consider swapping out my Eibach's.
The H&R springs for the 350Z are:
H&R Sport Springs 1.5 front 1.5 rear v53050 $389.00US Kit

It's still a G thang!!

Re: Eibach vs H&R
I've had H&R's on my previous Infiniti (g20), and the ride was mediocre. Drop was real nice (1.5"). The H&R's are progressive springs like Eibach, so expect similar ride quality.
In my honest opinion, save up for a set of JIC Coil's. Seen it on a G35 before, looks awesome. Ride quality should kick *** too!

Re: Eibach vs H&R
Reason I want to switch is just go lower than 1.1" drop. I don't find the need to spend $3000CAD on coils, since I don't autocross. I rather spend $3000 on something else and there are a lot of items to choose from with $3000.
