I've decided on these tires for my stock 17" replacements.


Will 235/45/17 and 245/45/17 fit. Will they look ok instead of the 225/50/17 and 235/50/17 that are on now or should I just get the 225 and 235s like what came with it? I was looking to a little wider. Rim widths are 7.5 front and 8 in rear.

 

Just called Toyo....they said they wouldn't warrantee Proxes 4 on our car b/c it is not a "recommended fit" somthing about poss weight ratios......wtf....

 

the 235/45/17 tire is good for rims sized 7.9 - 9 wide. same with the 245/45/17. With the new tire size your odometer reading is going to be about 1mph faster.

 

According to Toyo website and and Toyo's Tech I spoke to today...the Proxes 4 235/45/17 will fit on the front fine and the 245/45/17 will fit on the rear fine. 235s and 245's are good for rim sizes 7.5 to 9.

Both are only off in diameter by .5" for the fronts and .4" for the rears.

 

just pump the tire up a lot and you should make up for the difference in diameter.
