Wheel Locks/ Lugnut Size

Anyone know if the lugnut size is something standard??

I would like to put on some wheel locks but $30 for the infiniti ones seems a little steep. I wonder if aftermarket ones would fit without any problem.

Re: Wheel Locks/ Lugnut Size

I got some from Discount Tire and Co. for $21.64 with tax installed. I thought that was pretty cheap. The Locks are some Gorilla Brand and you get a special key to open it. You can also request another key from the company. The Locks go well with our car.

4 Locks & key = $21.64

It's a good investment because just about a month ago I read on this forum that someone got their 18's jacked off their car while it was on their driveway. It cost that person a lil over $600 per wheel ti replace em.

Re: Wheel Locks/ Lugnut Size

I may be trading ignorance, but I think it's the thread count per whatever, inch, millimeter. Mine came with McGard locks. Happens to be my old ride had McGards and the key lock is the same (had two of them); so now I've got two keys for my new locks, as well. Remember to put your key somewhere unusual in your car so the thieves can't find it in 2 seconds. Of course, thieves don't really need the key, but that's another issue.

OK kids, I got it. The Size is 12mm x 1.25 and I got a nice set of em with the key (addional keys CAN be ordered) at my local auto parts place for under $10 bucks. Put em on myself with the spare tire wrench. Much better than $30 for the ones from the dealer.

Now I can afford that new pedal kit!

The dealers are actually $65 installed. That is crazy. $35 for installation.
