Relatively Inexpensive Rims..

Does anyone have ideas for some inexpsive rims on a CB G35 Coupe? I only have about $2000-2500 to spend. Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Relatively Inexpensive Rims..

In order to help you out more, you can kind of give us some info into what you're looking for:

What size? 19 or 20? What finish? Chrome? Silver? Gunmetal? Is the $2500 you're talking about for just rims, or for rims and tires?

Give us a little bit of info and we'll try to steer you in the right direction...

Are you planning to sell your stock coupe 18" rims, cuz if you are that's another $1,500 - $2,000 in your pocket.

Re: Relatively Inexpensive Rims..

Ok, I'm looking for 19 or 20 inch rims. I really don't know anything about the sizes of tires, the offsets, and all that stuff. I was thinking about getting tires as well with it. I'll sell the stock rims and tires if I need to. I was thinking about those axis rims that Raj has. I would get anything that looks good, chrome or silver. Thanks.

Maybe you want to consider these ADR M sports...they come in 18 and 19 inch 8.5 or 9.5 width..deep dish...these are hyperblack...cost about 260 per rim

Re: Relatively Inexpensive Rims..

Do you guys think I should sell my stock tires? I have the 18" tires with the sports package. Do you think people would actually buy it?

Do you guys suggest selling them? Should I keep them if anything goes wrong? Will there be a difference in the driving performance with different tires? Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Relatively Inexpensive Rims..

If you leased your G I wouldn’t sell the stock 18" rims, but if you bought your G then it’s up to you if you want to sell them or not.

IMHO if you do get new rims I'd sell the stock rims cuz there’s no sense in keeping them in the garage wasting space and they’ll probably lose value over time.

Re: Relatively Inexpensive Rims..

If you live in the north, you could buy winter tires for the stock rims and have a quick, DIY wheel change ready for the blizzards.

I still say aftermarket wheels are a huge rip-off. You can buy a decent second-hand car (wheels included) and still have cash left over for significant mods for the same price as, say, HREs. I ain't buying anything more expensive than Enkeis, and screw what the world thinks of it.
