Question Need info on lightweight 18" rims

While most 19” & 20” wheels look great I’m looking for a quality lightweight 18x8” wheel. The SSR Competition is light and looks pretty good to me, but I only found it in 18x7.5”. Constructive suggestions, alternatives, and comments are welcome.

When I was looking at a few wheels [most particularily Volks], I found the Volk CE28N model to be the lightest forged, monoblock, aluminum, so that is what I went with. If memory serves me right, my 18x8.5 CE28N weighed in right around 16 lbs.

The BBS RGR is also pretty light at 18 lbs. The 18x8.5 size has a nice lip too.

i have the 350z rays track edition wheels. they are pretty light being that they are forged. they are 18 x 8 and 18x 8.5 and they are made in the same factory as volks. you can find them pretty easy on my350z under the classified's. i found mine with tires for $1000 that included tps sensor that i might be selling.

Tire Rack's website indicates the 18x7.5" SSR Competition weighs 15.4 lbs.

Dollar for dollar, nothing beats the Enkei RPF1's in weight. The SSR GT-2s are lighter but also cost $150 more per wheel.

If money is no object (excluding mags), then Volk CE28Ns.

It seems that the Lexion 203 (made by Rays) are in the 20 pound range for 18", but one dealer said they make 18" and another said it only comes in 19" I'll have to dig deeper on that one. Boyd Coddington makes some great forged wheels that are also in that same weight range.

A reliable source said the Volk CE28N 18x8.5 rims weigh 16#. Can anyone confirm this? How about pictures on a sedan?

Dave,
I'm not sure if they're quite that light, but pretty close. I've heard that they're one of the lightest wheels out there (that is somewhat affordable). I'll look around for weights--seems that I've seen the numbers somewhere.
