Offset question
Offset question
I know you can push a wheel out farther with a spacer (ex. 5mm spacer).
What I'm wondering is if I buy a wheel with a +15mm or +20mm offset, is there a way I can reverse it so I can pull the wheel in closer to a +35 or 38+mm offset?

Yes there is a way. A good specialty wheel shop can shave off a few mm to custumize the offset you're looking for.
However, there is no way of telling for sure until they see the wheel themselves and see if it can be done.

if you go for a 20mm offset there is no way you can pull it into a 35. there is not enough metal on the back side to shave off. usually you can pull the wheel in by anywhere from 3-6mm but not much more being that you will start to take off the lug nut seat. so if you start with a 20mm you might be able to bring it into a
+25mm and that is if you can find a machine shop to do it. i say its just easier to buy the right wheels from the begining. and if you are htinking about price, you could probably find a wheel that is the right offsat for the same price as a less expensive wheel and then having it machined. just my opinion though.
