**20s with 35 series tires all around?**
Heres the deal. Theres a set of rims I want, but they only come in 20s if I for the lip size I want. I really dont want to run 30 series tires in the back because they're so thin. I've bent my Racing Harts on my Honda with 40 series, so 35 is already scaring me. Now I know there are a few people that have 20s with 35 series all around, but I've noticed that none of them are dropped. My question is, can I lower it with this setup, and if so, how much?
If i'm not mistake there was a guy with some 20" super rozza's and he dropped it about 1.5". Can't remember his sn i would do a search for "PIAA Super Rozza"....
To answer your question: Yes, you can but i wouldn't lower it more than an inch...otherwise you will have to roll your fenders...
I'm in the same boat with you on running 35's on a 20" rim...I'd be afraid to bend them too....That's why i'm kinda considering getting 19's instead due to some roads and driving habits...

I was looking at the Axis Mods 20x9 and 20x10. I dont know what available offsets they have, but this is what I've seen is usuall et37 (front) and et38 (back). I emailed Axis and asked what offsets they have for these... so they should reply soon. If I lower my ride, its going to be an inch or less since I already have my bodykit. What size tires would you guys recommend?

I've also read about how /35 on 20s would throw off the VDC, but from the thread I read, it seems like nothing but conjectures.

You'll be fine running 35 & 30 series tires on a G with 20's.
However; If you plan on lowering it more than 1" and depending on the wheels style and offset, you may have to roll your rear fenders and or trim away the inner front mud/splash guards....

Volk GTC's (M-Silver with *Low style center caps)
FR: 20x9.5" (+20 Offest / **Face 1 / 3.5" Lip) with 255/35 Falkens
RR: 20x10.5" (+22 Offset / **Face 2 / 4" Lip) with 285/30 Falkens
Lowered 1.75" with Sprint springs, camber & toe corrected with SPC kit
Rear fenders rolled and front inner mud/splash guards trimmed (no rubbing)
*Volk actually makes a few different caps you can use on the GTC's (since they do not come with center caps). The ones I have on are are the low machined aluminum style with carbon fiber centers. They also make a high version which basically are the same design (material and all) but they extend further out.
**Face 1 (fronts) have flat spokes, and Face 2 (rears) have curved spokes (hard to tell from the pic, but if you look close enough you might see the difference), and yes it is an option you can special order directly from Volk...

Oh and I've never had any VDC issues... not like I ever drive with it active anyways, but when I have, it all works just fine... The VDC will work just fine as long as all four wheels are within spec (diameter wise) to one another (front to rear, side to side)...

Ducatiguy, thanks for the info. But what if I were to run /35 in the rears too? As for the drop... I'm thinking I might go with Htech springs. I want performance out of a mild drop. Maybe even 350z Htechs. I'll make the final desission after the rims are on though. I'm just planning ahead.
I have a lowered honda and the springs have sagged alot in the past 6 years. Its really low, and I'm sick of constantly scraping on ramps/driveways and having to be so carefull over speed bumps. I'll still angle and be carefull over those obsticles, but I'd rather have it easier to deal with than I do with my Honda.

well why dont you just roll/cut your fenders.. it wont do any damage if done right and you can still drop the car without and rub issue.. and after you lower it just get a weight adjustment and then align the car and you'll be good to go
