Quoted 5700 for asanti's

i was wonderin if that was high for asanti forged series.. i was lookin a tthe af120, af 128, and the af132.. it was gonna be 20x11 in back with 305 35 series and i believe 20x9.5 in front with 265's.
Let me know what you think of this price
Thanks
Joe

Asantis are xpensiv wheels, last year I got a qoute for around $4900 with tires. For $5700 you can get an APS single-turbo kit.

i know man.. but that lip.. and the way the 305's looked.. i'm kinda torn.. and that was it too its either FI or rims.

Yeah I know what you mean, chrome lips on Asanti's are SICK. Would look sweet on your Laser Red G.

Yeah those wheels are clean but, expensive. I'm actually thinking about getting the AF120 22's for my wifey's FX.

tylers600rr Jun 29, 2005 09:09 AM

not bad I got 6440 and are u sure it was 305/35 I think u meant 305/25 thats what I wanted but im gonna do forced induction first I did looks on my last car and not enough performance and I longed for F/I. This time Im gonna do performance first cause I can live with the 19's for a while!!

nismoGcoupe Jun 29, 2005 10:43 AM

sounds about right for those sizes..... 305/35 in the rear would definetly rub ALOT!!!!

Sundeviljay Jun 29, 2005 11:49 AM

Hey Joe where are you located? I've got a hook-up on Asanti's

ducatiguy Jun 29, 2005 11:51 AM

Save your money dude! One bad pot hole or crack in the road and you'll be crying like a little girl, and your wallet will be laughing at you...

Sundeviljay Jun 29, 2005 11:55 AM

Asanti's are stronger than that ducati...

ducatiguy Jun 29, 2005 12:29 PM

Unless Asantis are made out of some super human alloy or metal from another world, its still just METAL. I don't care whether you have forged rims, steel, or whatever, hit or bang them at the right speed, with a low 30-35 series tire, and they're TOAST!

Stating "they're stronger than that" is a pretty, well I'll refrain from saying, comment. What are they stronger than if I may so ask? Are you basing their strength on their price, if so, man you got a lot to learn (take into part the fact the SCCA has BANNED HRE's "which are also PRICEY wheels" from track use because the've been FALLLING APART)! If you're also going to mod your suspension (springs or coil overs) you have even more to worry about, as now you're running a stiffer (in most cases) than stock setup which means your wheels will be taking more of a "beating".

Don't think you can damage an Asanti wheel? Think again! In fact, a cheap $50 steel rim (what Jeeps use to rock crawl with) would take a better beating, but lets face it, they weigh a ton and don't quite have the "eye candy" appeal the fancy "Asanti" wheels have, but once again.. don't think you can damage them... lol... think again!
