After all the waiting and rain.. 350z Suspension INSTALLED!
Sheesh, this is like waiting for a child to give birth. Everytime I wanted to install it, I kept getting rained out. I want to thank GSedan35 for all his help and step by step guide (was pretty accurate!) Anyways, Everyone who knows I got screwed ROYALLY by someone selling me used 350z suspension from an 03 when I paid for 04.5+ revised.. so I was out 300 bones.
Anyways here we go:
Installation proved to be a LONG tedious process. The actual installation isn't all that complicated, but I gotta admit it sure is time consuming! The Rear on the Sedan took considerable time (especially as you need to be super careful removing the springs as they can shoot out like a bat outta hell! Anyways, Bolts were tricky to get in, but we ended up using a small C-Clamp and that helped CONSIDERABLY. Guys, I cannot stress enough how much easier this is with Air Ratchets... Power tools are your friend for this job; I gave my dad a Cordless 12V 3/8 which was very helpful for some stuff, and a standard AC powered 1/2 for other stuff. The front Driver's side went on without too much effort, now the passenger side took a LONG time.. but that was my fault
I was not paying attention and we tried to mount the drivers old Front instead of the Passenger 350z, so 45-60 mins later, frustrated because stuff doesn't align correctly, I go and verify part #s.. needless to say, I felt pretty stupid after
Once everything was hooked up, it was close to 9pm!
I need an alignment ROYALLY, but the drop is nice.. not too much, but noticeable versus the way it looked before. I'm goin tomm with the values GSedan35 gave me to get everything in spec.
Whew! Opinions? I will have pictures tommorow btw

Congrats on doing the job yourself, I'll be calling you soon for some advise when installing my new springs. How does the car ride now? How much is the drop? Can't wait to see your PICS.
Congrats. My first time installing my Z suspension took me about 5 hours by myself. Would have been easier if I had just removed the cotter pin from the upper a arms instead of struggling to get the fronts out. Anyways you will definitely like the performance of the Z shocks compared to the stock sedan suspension. Did you have a sport or non-sport sedan suspension?
Stock non-sports suspension... about to go get my alignment doe. I think I'm going to pay the little bit extra for lifetime alignment, It's about $100-$125 if I remember correctly.
So that's how the cotter pin figured into it
I was trying to think where that was used as I didn't remember it

I am surprised the rears gave you trouble. Mine were in and out in no time. It was the top nut on the front strut that gave me greif.

I've not had alot of chance to drive due to prep for trip to Boston + Tropical Storm Warning down here which is keeping me from driving a whole heck of alot.. the drop is real nice though, except those parking thingys..
