Who makes the best set of stock tires

I'm looking for a new set of tires. Right now I just have the stock rims on my car (215/55VR17). I'd like to put the original tires back on, but this guy just quoted me $900+ dollars for the tires, mounting, balancing, and the roadside hazard warranty. What are you guys putting back on your car? Stock? Or something different? Is there another tire that outperforms for a better price? Help please

I would advise you to go get a set of 235/50R17 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. It is not cheap but the performance you get from it is crazy. It totally changed my car's manners. No more wobbly turn in, nose dives and better steering response and feel too.
