TEIN Basic help

Hey guys I'm running TEIN basics and I was just lookin at my car the other day and noticed the right rear is about 1 1/2 finger higher than the left rear but the settings on the coilovers are the same. I've read up on past posts on this before and read that people just drop the high side lower to match. Well, I did this and I pretty much slammed the right rear and still 1 1/2 finger higher than the left side. It's like I didn't even do anything to it! Anyone got suggestions or input. Your help wuold be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Remove one of the swaybar endlinks and see if it changes anything. if yes,
then your bar is bent.

Does anyone sell adjustable endlinks for our G/350z's? (im too lazy to check).

if so, please list them for the people who has the coilovers. no meaning
buying coilovers and running non-adjustable endlinks...can't properly corner balance.

Nice setup. You might not need the cusco a-arms if only 3/4" drop unless
you're wanting to dial-in more neg camber up front. I think they only
go 0.25degrees positive...but probably enough to get you back in spec.

It should be a quick and easy swap on your coilovers, not sure how
you route the EDFC wiring though on the rears. (I'd like to find out
how you or the shop does that).

If anyone sells adjustable endlinks I would recommend you get those
so that you will be able to get your car corner balanced properly since
you've spent that much cash already.

After you get the car cornerbalanced, take it to a reputable alignment
shop and get her aligned.

Drive around and fine tune your damp settings and get the cambers
realigned again if needed to dial-in the final touch.

Oh hold on to your wallet,....front adjustable end links $160, rear $150. At least they come with sperical bearings. They are included when you by the Nismo T2 adjustable sway bars, which are actually relabled EVO350 bars. Becarefull not to adjust in to much preload, you want to avoid any chance of binding.

They actually look pretty good. Any noise associated with those?
I had adjustable endlinks on my previous cars and the ones with
sperical bearings just rattle like hell...

Honestly, I have not seen a single person say they bought or installed the Nismo adjustable sway bar end links on any Z or G forum.

Guy's
Understand that most people do not even have a clue what you are talking about.
And to be honest IM a little lost right now, So Can you explain how this set up should be installed. I will do all the installs myself. If I need more parts, no problem. This is my toy.
This is the last mod I plan on doing on my car.

You are right on this. My figures never match with what everbody else does. I like the fact of doing something different. I belive this is the best setup for the G35. Of course I could of paid much more for the "zeal" setup

The issue is that most people here don't know what coilovers are
really meant to be used for... they like the EDFC or the fact that they
can change height, bling factor, etc. They forget (or just don't know)
the primary purpose of coilovers is to corner balance a car.

In order to corner balance a car not only does the spring seat height
need to be adjusted, the swaybar endlink length almost always also
need to be adjusted to accomondate the height.

When you corner balance a car, you first unlink the swaybar endlinks
so the car is completely sitting on the springs and its spring seats.
After you get the car corner balanced, you will link the endlinks back
onto the car while adjusting the endlink lengths so you do not force
the car to tilt due to the swaybar bias (bend/twist memory).

Also, if you have adjustable endlinks and have the adjustable swaybars
like the Stillen, you can adjust the lengths so you can use all 5 settings
instead of just 3 (soft, med, hard). You can do soft, soft-med, med,
med-hard, hard).

I might get the front adjustable endlinks because I want to try
the intermediate settings on the Stillen (soft-med).

Somehow I get the impression that your taking my post out of context, though my saying that isn't a big deal at all. I understand what your saying, but I want to make sure you understand my post just in case. I did go back and edit my post.

I was replying to Ken's question asking if anyone had used the Nismo adjustable swaybar end links. I was not saying that no one was running Basics that I knew of. I have one or two owner review's of the Basic on hand bookmarked for reference.

I'm with you about doing something different, but it is it really good or the best just for the sake of trying to break out. And their is nothing wrong with using the differing figures of other's to double check your figures, a check and balance of sorts. But be open the the chance that you may be wrong and those differing figures are trying to tell you that.

Gee Pasta, what setup do you have that you feel is the best?

I need to be more careful how I write. I feel the CS setup is more suited for my driving style.
While I still have not installed it yet I believe it should be the right setup for me. I can say IM happy with the stock setup for the most part. I was thinking of getting the stillen sways and was ready to order. My setup came as a package deal. IM no expert when it come to suspension. I have asked a lot of questions and have been in a few modded 350Z and all I can say is there is no way I want my car to ride like theirs. I will look in to the end links for the sways. IM most worried about getting the alignment back in to spec.
When I get the time I need to go back and re read some older posts about alignment, sways, suspension, Many thanks to you guys. Pasta
