Razor Blade Nightmare

Long story short, today I noticed a razor blade has dug into my tire... it's not near the sidewall... however the razor blade is slanted into the tire (pretty much it has become a part of the threading)--it wasn't a VERTICAL CUT, but again--slanted into in the tire...

Is there any hope left for the tire? Can it be removed and patched up? Sorry for the lack of the picture but any advice would be much appreciated

How big was the cut? If less than 1/4", it could be patched but I doubt it.
probably drove over some glass?
