JIC Coilover...Opinions Please?

First time I've posted anything but am stoked to see that a place like this exists! Most people say I'm crazy for wanting to trick out an Infiniti, but what do they know.

First order of business is the suspension and I've been looking at the adjustable JIC coilovers to work on the ride height. It looks like the JIC FLT-A2 (competition setup) is the way to go, but wondering if anyone has heard anything about these.

I think I can find them cheaper than this place, but you can check them out below:

You've picked the hardest known suspension system known for the car. I've been told their rather harsh for the street. Are you sure something like that is right for you?

do a search by user name "Mountain". He has the JIC installed on his sedan and track races with it.

This sedan needs LSD more than it needs the suspension modded. If your really serious, do the whole package of the usual upgrades and add a LSD.

Re: JIC Coilover...Opinions Please?

The general consensus here and on other sites seems to be that these are pretty serious. Maybe I don't need something that hard, but I want to be able to adjust the height w/o sacrificing handling...and if I can make it stick the road even more then I am game.

thanks guys...

Re: JIC Coilover...Opinions Please?

How do they handle on the street? Is it something that is killer on the track and just too impractical for the street. I want to be able to tear it up...but also have to drive thing on a daily basis.

Re: JIC Coilover...Opinions Please?

Since your looking for suspention why dont you look at TIEN. Ive heard that some of the parts from JIC are made in China. Also from what im told TIEN is made in JAPAN. Do some more research before you spend some money like that.

Re: JIC Coilover...Opinions Please?

They handle AWESOME everywhere. I have had the car on 3 internationally known tracks (miami, sebring, and daytona) and loved every minute of it. I did race the miami track with the car stock.....huge differance. Yes it would be nice to have LSD but the car sticks so well there isnt much wheel spin.

I drive my car everyday as well. For what I gained on the track I am dealling with the loss of ride quality. It is hard.

If you want the JIC suspension I would part with it. I am ordering a dedicated race car (I had too much fun and want something certified to race....probably a spec racer or something) and would sell the suspension. I have had it about 5 months and raced about 6 times.

Make me an offer.
