Tire Pressure Light!!!
Anyone had problems with the tire pressure light after putting on new rims??? Need feedback on what to do becasue the dealer is so **** and wont touch it now because they said those are aftermarket rims. help please...
I've had two sets of aftermarket rims on my car and never had a problem with the tire pressure light. Do you know if the tire shop you had your rims mounted at transfer the TPS from the stock rims to the new ones? Sometimes, people have had to have the dealer reset their TPS. Your dealer should be willing to do it, regardless if they are aftermarket or not. I would be real careful when having the dealership deal with your rims (stock or aftermarket) because there have been tons of stories where the dealers have ruined the rims of many members.

I recently put on after-market rims and have read a lot of accounts of the TPMS going off after making a switch. I was OK for about 3 weeks and my light went off last week. I ignored it for a few days ('til the weekend) and finally checked my tire pressure on Saturday. I found that one of my rear tires had a huge nail in it and was about 20 lbs low (I'm lucky nothing really bad happened)!
I'd recommend double-checking just to make sure it's not a false alarm.
Also, as liu69 mentioned, be careful about who touches your rims/tires. I just got back from Just Tires tonight where I wanted to get my tire patched and they warned me that my rims would get scratched since they didn't have the proper equipment.
Hope this helps.

After putting on my new rims, my tps light would go off everytime I drove farther than approximately 30 miles. I was expecting this since I did not transfer the tps sensor over to my new rims. After a few weeks, the tps light just went away. Now, the light doesn't come on even after 30 miles. Maybe the car is learning
