Very specific question about wheels

I'm looking to get a set of 19" rims, either 10.5/9.5 or 9.5/8.5. Believe it or not, I DO NOT want a huge amount of lip in the rear. Here's the question:

Dealing only with sizes that fit the coupe with Brembos, is the MINIMUM lip width on a 9.5 wheel LESS than the minimum lip width of a 10.5 wheel? I don't want to add spacers or do any fender rolling, etc. I just want to how the minimum lip width that I can get to fit my coupe will compare on 9.5 vs 10.5 rear. Thanks

I had to read your question twice to get it.

Anyway, the lip size does not determine wether or not it will fit your car. The offset will. You can have either a 9.5 or 10.5 in the rear without any problem with the right offset.

The offset and wheel width combined will determine the size of the lip. Most guys that want more lip go for 10.5 with a more aggressive offset.

In your case you'd go the other way if you don't want a fat lip. My advice is to speak to the wheel manufacturer that you're looking and tell them what you want and they can give you the best set up for THEIR wheels.

^^^ following chico, you also need to know the spoke design of the wheel your looking at, offset and wheel design is the key in determining your lip size, obviously there are also wheels without any lip as well. We have these in stock!

Thanks for the help, and sorry for the confusing wording. I've pretty much decided on the Volk SF-Winnings in Mercury Silver. The bottom line to my question was if I want minimal lip, would I be better off going with 9.5 in the rear vs. 10.5. But you answered my question, and I think I'll be doing a 9.5/8.5 setup just so I don't have an absolutely massive lip. Thanks.
