i've had my dpe ro7's for about 4 months now and i've noticed that the lip isn't as polished as it was a couple of months ago. i usually clean it with a microfiber towel, soap and water. i've noticed a few blemishes on the wheels as well. i know there's some type of meguiar's polisher. any ideas?

 

Mothers alum polish, this is what we send out with every DPE, HRE iForged and other forged wheel purchases. This stuff does wonders! its only a couple bucks at your local auto store like autozone or pepboys...

another great product imo is better than the Mother's, is Meguiars new all metal polish. it's apart of their NXT line. that s.hit is HOTT!

 

are they safe to use on powder coated rims?

 

no it's for metal surfaces. not clear coated, paints, etc. only rims such as DPE, iForged, HRE where the lips are polished metal. volks, etc are anodized clear coated. strictly metal finishes only.

 

you can even use the metal polish on your a/c lines.. after you rub it on the a/c lines you get a mirror finish.

 

Hey how would we clean the painted surfaces on the DPE wheels?

 

I would say with nothing more than soap and water.

 

What i would do is clean the wheel with soup and water, then wax the wheel. by waxing the wheel you will allow the brake dust to be washed off easily.

 

i've waxes my wheels with mequires nXt wax... it's clearcoat safe... RH pro J5
