Is this true/want to get 18

I got this off the nissan performance magazine. i want 18's they will be lighter than stock 17 so would it make it a wash as far as performance.as far as what i take from what i just read any input on this? never heard this from anyone on the form. "Due to the conservation of energy, she must spin faster. Now she has less rotational inertia. By extrapolation, an object with mass closer to its center of rotation will take less energy to accelerate than an object of identical mass located further from its axis. Provided both have the same distribution of mass and the same amount of energy is applied, my 14-pound 15" wheel will accelerate faster than a 14-pound 17" wheel. That's simply because my wheel's mass is closer to the center of rotation. Next we'll see how"

Yes. But good luck finding a 14lb 17" wheel. 16lb maybe. The stock ones are about 22lbs, I believe.

Think of a see-saw. It's easier to push someone up who is sitting close to the middle than someone who's sitting at the end.

what will accelerate faster an 18 inch wheel at 19 1/2 pounds + a 23 pound tire or a 17 inch 22 pound wheel and a 24 pound tire
