Re: 20" Maido GR5 ....

Did you get your rims from Vision Motorsports? (noticed the front license plate holder) Went there about 4 months ago, and they were going to sell me the exact same rims. Got a price quote from them, but at the time just barely got the car, and didn't have funds to drop $4700K for rims. How much did you get them for?

All I can say is SICK! That was my first choice of rims but the place I was buying it from was charging me up the ****. Tight. Yeah 19's don't do the G any justice. I wish I had 20's. What size is the lip in the rear?

Hey this is Blk6spd, I had to go in as a new user because i'm at work and I don't have my old passwords.. Anyway, you can get these wheels and tires from Vision Autosports, they gave me a great deal installed..... $4,100 for mounting and everything. They are real quality guys... Ask for Nat or James, they'll hook you up. Their # is 626-336-8388

Hey Raj... I got the windows tinted in Woodland hills by distinct window tinting. They are the window tinting company that does all of the thousand oaks infiniti dealership. I got it done for $130.00 .. Lifetime warranty... So if I'm not happy with it a year down the road, I'll have them change it out. But they did a good job. I got Limo on the rear glass and 20% on the sides. I thought it would be too dark, but it turned out fine.

Re: 20" Maido GR5 ....

awesome combination. a couple of questions for the sake of all owners...

1. what do you think of the overall ride change with the springs and dubs?
2. do you scrape or hop alot?
3. would you do it differently if you could go back?

thanks!

The wheel place is in Hacienda Heights off the 605 freeway. I think the website is www.visionautosports.com

Re: 20" Maido GR5 ....

gilad,

To answer you questions:

1) the overall ride change is not bad at all, you hardly notice it, but you do notice the loss of speed. The loss of speed is the only downfall to 20's, but it's not that much at all.. But then again, you're not putting 20's for speed..

2) I don't scrape at all. By the looks of it, you think I would, but I don't at all. Hop, no, I don't hop. Same as stock in my opinion.

3) If I had to go back, I would have had the 20's from the get go. I've had two sets of 19's for this car, 1st the Gewalts, and then the Volk GT-C's... If I had to do it all over again, I should have gone straight for the 20's.. But at that time (back in December), they had not made many wheels that fit over the Brembos in 19's, especially in 20's... So scratch what I said... I was stuck basically...

Get the 20's, IMHO they are the only wheels that fit the look of the Coupe or Sedan. And get the Eibach Pro kit made for the Coupe, if that's what you have. I've seen Wrecks ride and it's lowered perfectly!!!!!

Just like he said, 18's or 19's don't do these cars justice. Funny how things change! When I put 20's on my sedan, everybody was calling me "bling bling" or "pimp-mobile". Now, everytime somebody gets new wheels, they're 20's! Anyway, you did a fantastic job. It looks great when it all comes together properly!

Re: 20" Maido GR5 ....

You're right gaklid... I remember when everyone was saying 20's were to big.. You probably could go 21's in the rear and that would be perfect. Thanks for the compliment though. It cost me some money to go through my 19's, but it was well worth it. Like I said if you're thinking between 19's and 20's, save your money up and get the 20's... It's a matter of $600.00 difference. Tires are about the same. Good luck everyone..
