17" sedan wheels on coupe?
17" sedan wheels on coupe?
Hey all! This is my first post, and sorry if my questions have been answered in past posts, but I've been reading for a while and haven't come across the answers yet. And I'm kinda tired, cause I just got back from purchasing my new G35 coupe 6MT in silver! Was at the dealer for 4 hours and got an amazing deal on a 2005 (played all the cards right paid off: an hour before closing, last day of the month, looking for a 2005). But I'll leave the story for another time.
Now onto my question. One thing I did do was finance through them (after they matched my credit union's rate), and I had them add on a price to the financing for stock sedan 17" wheels so I can get snow tires mounted on them. I know its not the most cost effective solution, and there are cheaper options out there, but I just graduated from grad school and I haven't been able to save up too much yet from my new job. So financing them made the most sense to me. Thing is the parts dept wasn't open, so they couldn't get a price, so we chose an arbitrary price of $1000, and if they're cheaper they'll cut me a check for the difference. If they're more expensive and I dont want them, they'll just give me my money back. First off, anyone know how much I should expect the stock rims to cost me?
Secondly, will these stock 17" rims fit on my coupe? I thought I remember reading some posts about interference, but were those only with the Brembos or something? If this is the case, I can get out of the deal before I actually get the wheels.
Thanks guys, and hope to get to meet some of ya on the road!

No one? Sorry to bug you guys, but if anyone has and ideas on price and what stock rims off other infinitis will fit my G35 coupe 6MT, I'd love to know, since I'm going back there after work to finalize the deal.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hmm, didn't know there were 17" coupe rims. Sorry, I'm still a newb to the G35 line.....
The deal isn't set in stone, we just set aside some money in the financing for rims, so I'm sure I'll be able to choose the coupe rims. Just didn't know exactly what fit, and just in case I run into a parts guy who doesn't know too much except how to order out of a book, i wanted to be educated so I can tell them what I want.
Any more advice on pricing and which stock 17" rims will fit the 05 coupe would be great tho!

I don't know a lot about the offsets for the coupe, but I believe the 17x7 sedan wheels do not have the correct offset to fit on the coupe. My guess is they would rub on the suspension. Plus the coupe is designed for a staggered set-up. The sedan wheels are NOT staggered. I don't believe they will work. You need to get coupe wheels or aftermarket wheels.
