curbed a 18" coupe wheel and tire...

due to my own stupidity, i got some road rash on my drivers side front wheel today... i have the coupe 18"s with michelin pilot sports. i'm not so worried about the rim damage, i can get that fixed eventually. i also sliced off a bit of the rim protector bead on the tire in the process. the piece of rubber that came off was less than 1/8" deep and right on the rim protector, and it's a pretty clean cut... just beyond the outside rim of the wheel.

is this something that could be a safety problem? the tire hasn't lost any pressure and the car drives fine. this pic kind of shows the area.

i looked at it again today in the daylight, it's no biggie for the tire damage, but the wheel kind of has me sick to my stomach. time go peruse the classifieds i guess...

once i find a good wheel or get this repaired, i could probably just swap the tires side to side and hide my mistake
