19" M Sport Wheels (cont)

Ok.
So I have a coupe, 2004, automatic.
Lowered with the 350Z OEM Springs.
I want to put the OEM 19" M Sport Wheels on my car.
19x8.5 with a 50mm offset.
Tire size 245/40/19.

Kenchan answered on another thread (which I posted in an area that is viewed less than here)...that I should get 25mm spacers.

Does 50mm offset mean that the wheels will sit more inside my wheel well than something with a lesser offset?

No rubbing issues correct?

Doe sit matter what brand of wheel spacer you get? Do all wheel spacers need hub centric rings?

Would I need to use special lug nuts or can I use my stock lug nuts?

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

The offset of +50mm is too high. I will be too tucked in. You need some spacer.

G35 need low offset.

>No rubbing issues correct?

at +25mm offset you shouldn't get any rubbing. you will loose the
stagger though if you use 245/40/19's all around. might want to
consider 225/40/19's up front. you can probably use 30mm
spacers on the rear without rubbage.

>Doe sit matter what brand of wheel spacer you get? Do all wheel spacers need hub centric rings?

Get high quality ones only, for example H&R or KicsProject.
don't go cheap on spacers.

I believe H&R are already hubcentric. You have to get hub rings separately
for the Kics ($25 for the pair at www.optionimports.com).

i highly recommend you use hubcentric rings (centering rings) if
the spacer does not come hubcentric.

>Would I need to use special lug nuts or can I use my stock lug nuts?

the spacers will come with its small nut that goes on the spacer themselves
and you can most-likely use your stock lugs to tighten down the M45
wheels. Just make sure your socket can fit over your G's lugs while the
lug nut is inside the M45's lug hole. if not, get some aftermarket
12x1.25mm pattern that will fit a 17mm socket. your stockers are 19mm.

goodluck and post some picts when you're done!

Thanks for your help Kenchan.
I'm going to try it...and if it doesn't work then I can always just use the wheels on my M.
I'll post pics when I can get this done.

Thanks again

Ok so I'm giong to pull the trigger and buy the M45 sport wheels tomorrow.
But I wanted to verify.

Are you guys certain that with a 25mm spacer...these wheels and tires will fit perfectly fine without rubbing?

Stats on the wheels:
19x8.5 with a 50mm offset all around
245/40/19 tires all around

Stats on my car:
2004 Coupe 5AT
Lowered with 350Z OEM Springs (lowered approximately .5")

So basically all I need is to put 25mm spacers all around and put the wheels on and I'm good to go right?

Thanks again for your help in advance

How come the 05 19" wheels for the coupe have a 30mm and 33mm offset for front and rear and I'm told that I should put 25mm spacers to make my wheels 25mm offsets because they are 50mm offsets?

Should I want to put 20mm spacer in the front and 20mm spacer on the rear?

This is all to make it look great but no rubbing is my top priority

because the factory 19's are tucked in. 20mm your factory wheel
may or may not work with the Kics spacers as the factory stud will
protrude past the spacer.

So your summer setup will bring the edge of the wheels right to the edge of the fender huh?
Your wheels are going to look really pushed out?

Can you post any pictures of what your car looks like with those offsets?

Hi Kenchan,

I checked out your homepage. Phat car looks good by the way.

I like your summer setup. I like how it pushed out. So in order to get your 23mm front and 36mm rear offset look....I should get tehe 25mm spacers for the front and 30mm for the rear?

And it doesn't matter that the rear has a bigger spacer even though my tires aren't running staggered? I'm going to run 245/40/19s

OK.

So here is where I am at.

I got the wheels. 19x8.5
I got the tires. Continental ContiSport 225/40/19 fronts and 255/35/19 rears.

I want to double check.
I'm leaning towards getting the H&R Wheel Spacers instead of the Kics because of H&R are hubcentric.

A couple of things...

1) I need to make sure that the OEM 19" M Sport Wheels have a bore of 66.1 like the G35.
2) All I need is the H&R spacers right? I don't need longer studs or anything like that.
(The M wheels have an offset of 50mm and I'm going to get the 25mm spacers)

the Kics offer hubcentric rings separately for like $25 a pair.

the spacer that you want has new studs already on the spacer itself
and comes with small nuts to hold the spacer onto the car's hub.

so, basically if your lugs fit the M45 wheels lug holes, you're all set.

btw, im pretty sure all Nissans are 66.1mm these days especially the 5 lugs.

why don't you take a ruler and measure the bore of your M45 wheels?
that would be easiest.
