getting my volks on friday want to verrify they will fit

ok guys i posted this a little while back when i ordered them but would like reassurance from anyone who knows. thanks RX

WOWWWWW! im glad i called the dealer back! He told me "you might have to roll the front fender back". Holy $hit, I told him i had Sprint springs and he said "I didnt know you had those springs, they will rub in the front most likely". Anyway, HE CHANGED IT TO 8.5 FRONT WITH 23 OFFSET AND HIGH PAD. and kept the 24 offset rear at 10.5. the front he said is a HIGH PAD and the rear is a LOW PAD.
I actually get a bigger lip on the front than the old 9.5 originally orederd. he said the lip is bigger since the offset and size is smaller, it will not rub or have to roll the fenders and on top of it all, ITS 30 DOLLARS CHEAPER.
I guess the type of springs does make a diff. TAKE NOTE!
THIS FORUM ROCKS!

The front will fit with no problems with a 245/35 or 255/35 tire. But what he said about a larger lip doesn't make sense. Smaller wheel, with a high pad disk does not give you a larger lip than a 9.5" would with the same disk and offset. For the rear you should be ok with a 285/30 tire. Post some pics soon. Good luck.

well ill tell you what, the guy knew what he was talking about regardless off bigger lip or not. I much more prefer the 8.5 because 1. it makes the rear look that much more impressive and 2. it wont rub which I am almost certain it would with 9.5's. It looks right now almost flush with the fender but dont rub. anyway check out the pics i just took on my other thread titled "well folks........." RX
