Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

Whoa, man your offsets are for the coupe, not the sedan. You cannot use offset's that low, especially seeing the rim widths.

You need 38-40mm in the front
55mm rear

Ivry 6mt sed
Injen CAI, 22" resonator
8X18 Enkei RPM2 45mm
Kumho MX 245/40
350Z springs&struts

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

Then those shops will be eating the cost of your rim purchase when they see how bad they misinformed you. And if they won't,......well you know what that means.

Sedans use high offest's coupes do not. They are giving you info thats proper for a coupe fitment, not a sedan. DO NOT DO GO WITH THOSE OFFSET SPECS!

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

I want to change my wheels too..........
I am considering 225/40 R18 front 245/40 R18 rear.
What kind of offsets would I want?

Tirerack recommends: ET 38-40 front ET 37-42 rear

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

Using 7.0 as an example:

Is the "+30/+50" numbering the minimum/maximum offset for that wheel width? For 205 v. 235 wide tires, which end of the offset scale should one lean towards?

Thanks.

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

most availability will be right smack in the middle at +40. When only using a narrow 7" a 35 is nice as it pushes outwards towards the fenderlip for a more agressive stance

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

The coupe has a TON of room either way and its really up to you how you want it to look. below if a very conservative fitment guide although we can go well beyond it...

WIDTH OFFSET WIDTH OF TIRE
7.0 +5/+50 215/225
7.5 +11/+50 215/225/235
8.0 +18/+47 225/235/245
8.5 +24/+40 235/245
9.0 +30/+35 245
REAR ONLY
8.0 +7/+50 225/235
8.5 +13/+50 235/245/255

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

So if i put a 18" 7.5 +40 on the rear, will it fits well? Or will the rear wheel turns out to be too skinier look? Thanks

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

18x7.5 +40 on a sedan? It will bring the assembly out around 3/4" farther than stock for a much better look.

18x7.5 +40 on a coupe would be rediculously small

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

stock coupe came with 17x 7.5 +30 front and 8.0 +33 rears
sport coupe came with 18x8 +30 front and 18x8.5 +33 rears

anything that size or bigger. we can do 10's out back if you want.

Re: PROPER WHEELS FITMENT

Remember Neohh, with those offsets it will not give you a large lip like you see on most Japanese Car mags (Option, Carboy ect...) The offsets they use on the mags are really agressive down into the mid to low 20s. The 33mm offset is a very safe offset but the lip will *probably* be only 2~3" in the rear if you are looking into large lips for the rims.

General rule is the lower the offset, larger the lip for them. But the lower the offset, the more the rim will stick out of the wheelwell and inner tire wear problems. (Where you will need to roll your fenders and get a camber kit as well)

- Don't argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.=P-
