how is SSR quality?
I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with SSR rims? I have a set of 20" ssr's on order, but have no idea what to expect.
Are they light and hold up to daily driving?

I had a set of SSR GT3's on my first Supra. I ran 9's in front, 10's in back. I purchased SSR's because of the look and their light weight.
I had absolutely zero problems. So, no complaints ... good choice.

Which SSR model did you purchase? I have the 19" SSR GT3 on my coupe. I did not know SSR made 20".
I got mine from Tirerack a month ago. These wheels are of excellent quality. You have nothing to fear.
I will try and post some pics if I can figure out how. But I can email high res pics if anyone wants them.

hi Myg35, yup SSR makes 20's. [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] sorry can't say what model I got yet, I don't think anyone has them in the states yet, this size anyways. I'll post pix when I get them, probably in a month.

I have 17x8.5 SSR Competitions (15.1 lbs each) on my Maxima and I've never had a problem. In fact, these are teh best balanced wide wheels I've ever had. Even when I've torn up my tires, they keep the vibrations down. They use a very thick paint on them. I have a coupe that have been chipped. The paint isd't week, but if a flyign hubcap from a car on the highway hits your wheel, then it will chip them. I am considering getting a set of Comps for my G.

[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] yes I swear they make 20' rims and will prove it as soon as they arrive. No they are not evolutions. The evolutions are nice, but IMO the ones I ordered look even nicer. I found these by accident and it's taken over 6 months to finally find someone who could get them for me.

SSR's are pretty much up to par with many forged wheel companies out there... Just like Work wheels, some of their wheels are 'built to order'. Even though SSR semi-forge their wheels, the quality is 'thumbsup'. I was looking into some professor SP1's for that nice VIP look. if.. ONLY IF, SSR built 19" competitions.
