new tires for the 17x7 sport rims

I've got an 04 with the sport suspension. The rims are 17x7 and recomended tire size is 215/55/17s. I've read the other posts about the 235/50/17's being the next closest, but still find the field of available tires lacking. Here's my list of contenders. Any thoughts fellas??

1. GY eagle F1s nice tire but 220 installed
2. Khumos very inexpensive but at what cost in ownership?
3. Toyo T1-r/s seem expensive too
4. Avons but the side walls seem too soft for cornering (i like to corner hard)
5. Pirellie Pzero nero m/s but aren't really available in my sizes
6. someone help!!! my GY rsa's are getty crappy fast.
