Other than chrome?

Im definately about to pick up some new shoes for the baby but on my other cars i always had chromies, i jus want to know how you guys feel about certain types of finishes like mercury silver and gun metal and how cleaning and polishing differs from chrome, is it harder to keep these finishes sparkling in comparison to chrome.....thanks in advance

nothing is harder to keep clean than chrome. If you get waterspots on chrome and it sits for a while its most likely not coming off. Chrome is the hardest to keep clean. Mercury silver or gun metal or hyper black are all easier to keep clean that chrome.

I like nearly any finish better than chrome, especially on a car like the G.

Have you looked into hi-polished? I have always had chrome as well so I know what you mean. I tried silver but I started to miss the chrome alot because to me, the silver didn't compliment the color of my car. So I tried High-polished which is "cleaner" than chrome but still has the lusterous shine that many like (I like it too!). The chrome appears thick while HI-POlished is more of a glassy shine

I.E. this wheel is hi-polished

You can see a bunch of hi-polished wheels in our iFORGED Promotion thread

You've had chrome so you know how hard or easy it is to keep clean. (I personally don't think it is that hard to maintain, but that's me.)
Polished is very close to chrome, but one thing to look out for. If you get polished wheels, get ones that have a clear coating over the polish. Otherwise the polish goes dull after a while and requires another polishing to bring back the luster. And if you think keeping chrome shiny is hard, just wait till you have to polish out a wheel.

This is true, chrome is very easy to maintain, just wet and wipe thats it. Hi-polish with clearcoat is almost the same.
