Need help with tires!! Please help! What size wheels should I get.

My dad passed his G coupe down to me with 17" oem wheels. Its about time I need new tires so I wanted to get some wheels too. Right now I have like Kumho Ecstas or something (all season). My dad said they were about $200 a piece. I dont know anything about tires but tried doing some research. It appeared that 19 & 20 where significantly more expensive. I might just get oem 19''s if I can find similar prices for decent tires. What size wheel would you recommend to get cheaper tires - 18s or 19s? I want 19s but it seems like tires are way more expensive for 19s than 18s. Is there a tire that is like $250 that will last longer than my current?

Sorry for the long post and I hope it made sense. All help is appreciated!

OEM 19" tires are MORE expensive than comparable 20s.
18s will be the cheapest.

you dont have to get the OEM tires with the oem 19" rays wheels. There are cheaper options. Ryan, i'll PM you with some good prices on some tires for the oem 19's. how much is your dad letting you spend on em?

If they last the same as the ones I have, then I doubt he'd let me pay more than like $40 a tire extra. I dont know, Ill have to show him the price difference. I really dont know anything about tires, I just know that I want to get 19s whether theyre aftermarket or OEM with tires that are good but don't cost that much more than my ecstas.

the bigger the wheels the more expensive the tire.......save up until you have the money to get what you truly want.......it will be worth it......either 19's or 20's
