Help Choosing Tires ...

I need some tire help. Putting some 19s on so I think the tire size I've been recommended is

245/35/19
275/35/19

Potential wheel would be

19x8.5 / 19x9.5

Does this change given the fact my car is about to get dropped by 0.7-0.8"?

Lots of Toyo T1R fans around here it seems, but when reading that Car and Driver report posted up some time ago, they only scored I think 8th out of 11. There is another thread on the T1Rs vs the two Falken tires as well. Again, no real consensus.

I know it depends on what you're looking for. I don't plan to track my car if that makes any difference. Yokohama Sport perhaps?

Can I get some suggestions?

Doesn't look like the Falken comes in a 275/35/19.

You could go with Michelin PS2 tires. At the very least go with 9s (wide) wheels up front with 10s in the rears. I'm rolling 9.5s up front and 10.5s in the rear and it fills out the wheel well (width-wise) quite nice on the coupe.

If money is not an object go with the Michelin Pilot Sports or the Goodyear GSD-3's.

If you're on a bit of a budget, and you're consciencious of how fast 19 inch tires wear out...the Toyo's are a great choice because of their performance and cheaper price compared to others out there.

I went with Pilot Sport PS2's in sizes 275/35/19 and 245/35/19. I could not be happier. With my stock 18's and RE040's in stock sizes the car would be very bumpy when going over those little bumps on the highway that divid the lanes, now with my 19's and PS2's there is hardly any bumping going on when i switch lanes, and it doesnt make that loud "thump thump" noise anymore when switching lanes. And thats even with 19's instead of 18's.

And another thing about the PIlot sport ps2's is that they are super light, the rears weigh 27 lbs and the fronts weigh 23 or 24 lbs. I guarantee you wont find a lighter tire in sizes 275/35/19 and 245/35/19. The Potenza S03's weigh i believe 32 lbs in sizes 275/35/19 compared to 27 lbs for the PS2's.

My stock 18 inch rims and RE040's in 245/45/18 (rears) weighed 58lbs combined, now my 19 and PS2's in sizes 275/35/19 (rears) weigh 48lbs.
