Removal of Safety Bolts on Front rotors for Aftermarket rims to fit?
Removal of Safety Bolts on Front rotors for Aftermarket rims to fit?
So I bought these gorgeous 19" Axis mod seven rims for my 04 G35C. I was in the process of putting them on yesterday. I had the rear rims on in a matter 30 mins. But when I got to the front rims , which I knew that I would need to take off that bolt on the front rotors that prevent the rear OEM rims to be put on in the front and vise versa, I ran into a problem. Well I went to take off the bolt with a wrench when I realized that everytime I am going to apply pressure to turn this bolt the rotor is going to turn. How the hell can I get this bolt off if my rotor keeps spinning due to the RWD and the fronts being dummy wheels?
Is it just as simple as getting one of my boys to hold the rotor still as I try to unscrew the bolt? Or is there a better( SAFER ) technique to it?
Thanks in advance.
PS. I currently have 2 rear Axis rims and 2 stoke 18' oem rims on. Very weird looking so the quicker I find a answer the quicker my G will look normal again!
