Thumbs up

So what did you finally decide on Andy? I personally went with the 255/285 setup after seeing pix of axiochris' car. I love how aggressive and fat those rear tires look. I also don't really like that stretched look too much. Too cruiserish (is that even a word? ). I am lowered on S Techs so I did have to have my fenders slightly modified also but it is worth it. Here are some pix I took of my ride yesterday. Let us know what you decided and post pix!!

255/35/19 Toyo T1R's up front

285/35/19 Toyo T1R's out back

Hexxum001,

Your set-up looks great!

I finally decided, last week, to roll with the 255/285/35 combo. I cannot wait to get the wheels and tires.

Edit: You're on S-Techs, eh? Are those for the Z or G? I am going to go with the Z H-Techs and the Tokico D-Spec 9. Have you had an alignment, yet? If so, what were the results?

Thanks Andy! I am very happy with my decision to go with this aggressive set up. My cousin, who has a modded Mustang, thought it looked sick and decided he was going to go with 285 rears on his 'Stang after seeing the G. He currently has 20's with 275/35/20 Nitto 555's on his rears and my set up looks much more aggressive.

Anyways, I did do an alignment when I first lowered my car but I am going to do it again next week now that I have wheels. They almost got the specs back to factory settings and were just off by a little bit. Oh, I have the G S Techs but I may also change that soon. Maybe. For now, I am very happy!

Actually, the front camber is pretty good. I think it might just be the picture. I'm gonna do another alignment this week though just to make sure. I don't want my brand new Toyos wearing prematurely.

Wow, your car is gorgeous!!!

Of course I'm partial to Laser Red without a spoiler, but you car has the perfect drop and the tires fit perfectly on the wheels. I love to look of your tires on the wheels. Great choice! Nice pictures.

Thanks bro! Yeah, I am partial to LR G's too. On a bright day, Laser Red just shines and catches everyone's attention! Yesterday, when I was picking up some food, this guy sees me getting into my car and came over and complimented my G for like 20 minutes. He wants a G bad and loved the way I set it up so he was asking me questions about everything I have done so far. Thanks buddy but my food is getting cold! LOL! I originally ordered my G with a spoiler but after I saw another LR G without the spoiler, I changed my order and had them give me one w/o the spoiler. It just looks so much sleeker and smoother w/o it. I probably am going to get a front lip though, just not sure which one yet.

Hexxum001,

If you do decide to change your springs, let me know. I got a good deal from one of our sponsors here.

After a long question and answer session with a vendor/sponsor over the Tein products, I opted to go with the Z Tein H-Tech/Tokico D-Spec 9 combo.

I like that fat set up more also.... you made a great choice. Question: your rims are 19's with 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears - would the 255/285/35's be too much on 19's that are 8.5 and 9.5 ? Does that 1" narrower rim front and back dictate you need to go with 245 and 275?

Thanks...

Hmmm . . . I think that the 255/285's may look a bit bulky, if you will, mounted on 8.5/9.5 wheels.
