Many times after 8,000 miles when you reflect about the less expensive tires you though were such a good deal...............you find yourself wishing you had sprung for the top of the line tires that the car was designed to utilize!

My 90 Q came with the Michelin Sport XGTV [their top of the line model back then] and over 16 years and 306,000 miles I have tried different brands and models looking for a cheaper tire. Purchased 16 x4= 64 tires
Many of my experiments lasted just 5,000 miles when the lesser tires were given away to poor relatives..........after 6 experiments I gave up and never tried anything inferior again.

Goodyear, Dunlop, Yokohama, Bridgestone, and Kumho.

Actually a Firestone SZ50 experiment was a success in that I kept the tires for 20,000 miles and was quite happy unfortunately they stopped producing this tire before I needed replacements.

Luckily the G35 is a lighter car by 500 pounds, wishing you success.

I totally agree with Q. I too have tried many, many brands of tires over the last 20 years. I tired to get the best tire for the cheapest price. From all of the tires I have tried, my Michelin XGT Z4s were the best. After these Goodyear NCTs wear out on my G, I will be going back to Michelins. BTW, I have never have any good luck with Goodyear tires. Michelins do cost a little more, and most of them are worth it. Two things you should never skimp on as far as a car: Engine oil and Tires. Try to get the best you can afford. Read up on the different brands and models. Hell, there are some really cheap Michelins out there that you need to stay away from too. So, do your homework and you wont be sorry.
