i hear this all the time (or see it rather). are they springs? im looking to lower my coupe by about 2 inches for the stock 18's any advice on what to get"? thanks Rx

Coilovers are exactly as they sound. The coil (spring) is usually wrapped around the strut/shock with rings that compress the spring (adjustable ride height) and depending on the model you get you can also adjust the comfort/dampening level by turning a screw/****. Coilovers are generally more expensive than buying just springs and shocks. If your just looking to lower your car, just go with the springs and save your money.
