Another 04 G35 with squealing brake problem!! :(

Hi fellow G35ers this is my first post on here I've seen the other threads but wanted to write one that was specific to my situation. I actually joined so I could talk to someone about this problem!

My car makes a very LOUD squealing sound when coming to a soft stop, it doesn't happen on hard stops. I just changed my brakes/rotors 150 miles ago and the squeal hasn't gone away! I went from non OEMs to OEMs that's what Infiniti suggested and that didn't work. I even bedded the brakes. I drive a matte black G and it turn heads but then it makes this noise and that is very embarrassing and annoying. Please help!

If anyone is is the SF Bay Area and is willing to refer me to an experienced shop and or help me out that'd be great!

You just need more lube on the back of the pad.

I was told that they are lubed when I get them replaced is that not true? Did this work for you if you had this issue?

That happens to all cars when they aren't lubed well. I never trust pre lubed brake pads or pre gapped spark plugs. Always give em a check.

Thanks will do.

No not when cold, it happens all the time. If you're referring to weather I'm in California lol.

I had the same issue on my 07 sedan... after lubing and changing pads, resurfacing my rotors and lubing again. Come to fine out that the very small rotor shroud on the inside was touching my rotors... took me 10 seconds to bend them away from my rotor. No more sqeaks! 😲 hope this works for you
