Minimum Rotor Thickness

Hi guys,

I have stillen slotted and cross-drilled rotors? Any chance anyone else has them?

I went to get my brake pads replaced and they said I need rotors as well.

Does anyone know the minimum thickness for rotors such as these?

Min Thickness is usually stamped on the rotor themselves.

You didn't give a year or model (and please get in the habit of doing so or making a signature) , so i'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and list data for a 2006 model. Hopefully I didn't waste my time here looking this up for you.

Front Rotors
Standard thickness 28.0 mm (1.102 in)
Repair limit thickness 26.0 mm (1.024 in)
Runout limit 0.035 mm (0.0014 in)

Rear Rotors
Standard thickness 16.0 mm (0.630 in)
Repair limit thickness 14.0 mm (0.551 in)
Runout limit 0.055 mm (0.0022 in)

Since aftermarket rotors are designed to OE specs, the OE specs should apply.

And i'm sure you've found out that nobody will turn drilled rotors, so the shop is recommending new rotors i'm assuming?
