Is this a good buy? 2003 V35 Sedan

First of all, I want to say hello to everyone here on the forum! It's my first post.

Anyways, I've been in the market for a practical, yet appealing first car and recently
a 2003 v35 sedan listed online for $2,990 hit the sweet spot. The car has a whopping 179k miles on it, although the driver's seat and the rest of the interior look to be in remarkable condition in the online photos.

Only a few blemishes here and there, no significant damage. Only complaint I have about the car's physical appearance is the color, although I can learn to live with it or just get a new color considering how cheap the car is.

One thing that is concerning me is that quite a few people have said in their review of the dealership that the dealer neglected to remove an online ad for a car that had already been sold weeks ago.

Here's the car so you can have a look for yourself: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-...417_isFeatured

Any thoughts?

Car looks really clean for its age and mileage. I would be wary because it looks to Clean. Might want to run a carfax and inquire about routine maintenance. If all checks out then your good to go.

My mom has been playing devil's advocate too. She suspects that the car is priced so low because of some fatal mechanical flaw. At this mileage, what are some of the regular parts that need replacing and what routine maintenance should I perform assuming we get the car?

I've been looking at the pictures more and something that I'ved noticed is that the driver's side floor mat (pictured in the trunk) is extremely worn out and it doesn't really line up with the wear of the rest of the car. Could they possibly have reconstructed it? I reached out to the Car Dealer for a CARFAX but no word yet.

Another odd thing is that the interior roof color doesn't match the rest of the interior. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to be, but an interior reconstruction would explain why it looks so clean

UPDATE: Just kidding, this seems to be standard on many models.

I have 160K miles on my sedan. It's probably just as clean and the wear is similar, so I wouldn't write it off as not being real miles.

The price reflects what it is....a 12-year old, 180K mile car that doesn't hold value all that well.
