New Clutch Break-in question! HELP!

Hey guys,

I bought a new ACT clutch for my G35. I have put about 45 miles on it now (mostly highway), and I wanted to see it's get-up-and-go power. I revved it hard maybe three times total (5-6kRPMs) and felt a slip or two. After reading online (I wish the mechanic told me this), it says you should drive it in town for 500 miles like a granny (under3.5k) until the gears grind down enough for full gripping capacity. It says that if I don't, I could encounter glazing. Can a few hard revs this soon completely destroy my clutch? Or if I take it easy from now on, should I be fine with minimal consequences?

Also, I heard I should not be gentle on letting off the clutch but to just let off it and let it catch right away instead of ease into it. Anyone else suggest the same?

I've had the act clutch. Just drive like normal. Stay out of it if you catch my drift for at least 500 miles and you'll be fine. A few times dropping the clutch and punching it shouldn't break it.
