350Z VQ35DE Engine Build

Figured I'd help PowerFab out and share (*****) my engine build they are doing for me. Little background for those that don't know... Oct '05 traded in my '03 Evo 8 for my current '03 350Z Touring 6sp. April '08 added the JWT 700BB (GT28RS) Twin Turbo kit among other mods. About a year after that regretted not building the block and talked about doing it for years! 31-Dec-11 It was loaded up and towed to PowerFab where an Import Parts Pro Stage 3 long block and other mods is being installed. I would like to see what the 700bb kit maxes out at, are you running meth/water injection? I was planning on maxing out the 850bb kit but I have changed my plans a little looks like you have a pretty solid build

We're thinking 550-575+ on 93 pump. I've considered water/meth but not at this time. Thanks!!!

I bet water/meth would help you hit the 600whp mark, I have heard the JWT intercoolers lose efficency at anything over 500whp. I have had mine to over 600whp I was using water/meth. For my retune I should try without water/meth and see what the difference is, if the JWT are being maxed out it might provide a greater benifit . 550-575whp would be enough to put a smile on your face daily.

Will see what this month's bill is and if I want to add it or not. I have some other plans before meth. It mostly likely would take me over the 600 mark though. And it is a benefit with Houston's summers.

Well talked to PowerFab today. Kinda just getting a weekly status update and not much has changed. Engine is still at G&G, HalTech is still saying sometime in March, no update on the Teins and hopefully will have a word back on the intercooler and piping this week.

On a personal note... Iraq is still not issuing entry Visas. So until they start I can't leave without quitting my job. Have 40 days till my R&R so wife & I are hopping for some good news soon. But I did get promoted this month and pay day is this Friday. And payday is looking good with the pay increase.

So an update on my build....

First I ordered '06+ Bi-Xenon headlights from 350ZSource and they don't stock them, they drop ship with no ETA. Cancel that order and found them at Courtesy Nissan. They are being shipped directly to LightWerkz for painting and other upgrades.

Went ahead and order the tires from TireDirect.com; Toyo R888 265/30/19 & 305/30/19. Being shipped to EVS Motors so they can be mounted/balanced on their new Hunter Road Force GSP9700 Balancer.

Spoke with PowerFab and still waiting on the engine to get back from G&G and IPP. The Tein coil overs should be deleivering soon and, of course, still waiting on the HalTech Plug-In Pro. Lastly, PowerFab saw a timing chain failure so we're going to replace that while we have the engine out & opened.

Everything is falling into place slowly. Now if I can just have the Iraq Gov't grant us Visas so I can get home everything would be perfect!!!
