Replacing doors on 2003 G35 Sedan
I crushed the right side passenger doors on my g35 going around a ballister at a gas station that I did not see as it was very low to the ground. I found two doors that are the same make and model and color and purchased them at a good price. I intended on taking them to someone who could swap them out but am now being told by someone that there's a lot more to it and that the wiring harness would need to be replaced and it would be extremely costly for me to do this. Does anyone know if this is true? If there is any electrical work that would need to be done, what would that be? Another person told me that the electrical would need to be "re-set" and that's all. I would like to know what the real deal is before I bring this in to have someone replace them. Thanks in advance!

You'll be fine, man. There's no reason to think there are different harnesses. That would suggest Nissan used a different harness for every single car which is just not possible. I dunno if you're car savvy at all, but you can do it yourself and then have a body shop line them up and set them true. It's pretty easy.

Door harnesses will be the same for the most part. Possibly a couple additional pins on the rear door harness if you have auto rear windows(some only had front auto windows). If you have heated side mirrors there is additional wires in the front as well. The front harness connects at the body behind the front fender. Makes it very easy to remove the front doors if you have the front fenders off. Rear should be similar.
