Question Can A Rev-Up Coupe 6MT w/ Bolt-Ons Take an IS350 Off all Speeds?

I know this maybe a strange topic but I was thinking about selling my G35 coupe that's a 6MT, so far only with 5/16" spacer and Stillen intake about to throw on the MREV2 manifold - but I was thinking about getting an IS350 this spring and now I am just determined to at least be quicker than one at all speeds, lol. What kind of bolt-ons would it take and is it possible? Thanks!

Okay that's good to know so you have the same exact mods I have pretty much well as soon as I get the MREV2 put on. That's good to know I wonder what else it would take to gain on them?

IS350 are in the VQ35HR G35 category...
Especially they are automatic which helps them accerate...
You need more than just MREV2 and intake.
At least test pipe/high flow cat and exhaust if you don't want to do headers and a tune.
VQ35HR G35 makes about 270ish whp...

So what's my best bet headers and tune after MREV2 or just save up and throw on the Vortech kit?

If beating IS350 is your ultimate goal then get ALL the bolt ons and a tune you should be just as fast if not faster.
Throw a Vortech kit will put you in IS-F category.

A full vortech kit would be the way to go IMO. If you were going to go full bolt-ons then go for HFC's, a good y-pipe and exhaust, tune, and MREV. This should get near your short-term goals, but you will always want more! A full Vortech kit and tune should be in the $6000 range now if you can install it yourself.

IS350's are nice cars, and are very quick. I don't know why MHJ has picked an IS350 as his comparison, I do remember a while back he was talking about selling his G and buying one though.

beating the IS350 u either need tune or test pipes with complementing mods such as most of you guys have. Do both on a 6MT then u are in 335 category.

Don't race them from dead stop. Always do a roll. Thos things can take off if they do the pedal Traction control off.

Looks like a GTech, which has been proven on many occasions to be pretty inaccurate. It's probably more accurate (and more fun) to speculate speed based on HP/weight.

Now you are talking. Just throw on a Vortech kit and you won't be worrying about NA IS350's anymore.
