Skunk 2 spacer installed, no power increase noticed

Installed Skunk 2 spacer yesterday, did ECU reset.
Tested car with Gtech, absolutly no increase in power but car maybe is a few tenth slower, got 6.3 0-60 1/4 in 14.8

So what the heck? ANyone notice a loss in power after install?

that's because it's skunk2 spacers FTL

that spacer is too big imo

and btw, you can't always expect gains from mods...every car reacts differently to mods...

Correct. Your ECU is very adaptive, but you get what you pay for. Cheap spacer = cheap results.

what would be a difference between motordyne???
Spacer is just that,,,,"spacer"
its not magic
and skunk is thermal resistant
immediate improvement was probably in your head,,,,until you actually see the numbers,,,,
i thought it was faster until i tested it,,,,,

Its been dyno tested that the MD spacer will give you 5-10 whp across the rev range. MD has it on their website. Every time I hear of people complaining of the lack of power always seem to come from the Skunk2 spacer purchasers....sorry but the brand in this case seems to make a difference.

get on a dyno and see if the power level is right for your mods. stop using that ricer computer and get on some rollers. you will know if your a/f is out of whack and if you are even experiencing a power loss at all. from what i have gathered after the reset, the ecu will run rich for a short period before it restores back to the levels it was at previously. that would hopefully lean out and get some better power.

i have been driving the **** of my car today hopefully it adjusts,,,,,,

anyone want to chip in for a dyno to see if spacer makes any power and what the AF ratios are?

spacers are not just spacers..the skunk one is too big, imo.

bigger is not always better.
