Injen intake review

All I have to is that try catch me ridin??!?!?! Injen intake looks siiiiccckkkk and we don't own Ferrari's and are cars are not that fastttttt anyways.....

Remember what MREV does? It converts a REV car back to the older HP and TQ then you gain with spacer and other mods. We get the TQ back.
I am not biased towards any mods. I know what mods ACTUALLY perform in many tests unlike you. You have never owned a Stillen CAI and it seems you are making conclusions with no data backing any of your claims, nor any real world experience.

There are more than plenty of dynos on this site and my350.com that show the Stillen intake doing nothing. The link posted above clearly shows that the Stillen intake did absolutely nothing in terms of making any performance gains. Who cares if the dyno run starts at 4000rpms because when you're racing, you're rpms should be planted at 4500+rpms. You should only be below 4500rpms for about 1 second when you first start the race. Hell, my auto comes off the line at around 2600rpms and sees 4000rpms less than 1 second later. This is why any gains below 4000rpms are absolutely meaningless.
As for your dyno comparison against the Z, what's the point? Where's the validity? Sure, they're done on the same dyno and basically the same car, but cars are modded completely differently plus we have no idea which generation of 350Z this is? Is it a Rev-Up or not? All of this makes a HUGE difference. It doesn't surprise me that you leave out all the important details in order to prove you points.
As for your super powerful G35, talk is cheap and dynos all read a little differently. Until you actually take the car track, your 255whp rating is meaningless to me.
When are people going to realize that the Stillen intake is just a sexy hot air cone intake (ie POP setup)? I'll admit it's a sweet looking setup and I'm sure it sounds great, but the OEM setup is plenty good hence the reason why all these intake (Injen, Stillen, JWT, whatever) are simply noise makers, that often times perform worse than stock due to the ingestion of hot engine air and heat soak on metal intake pipes. I guess a lot of people just want to modify their ride just to say they did and they like the eye candy. I bought into that too when I first started modifying VQs, 5.0s, and LT1s.
If you want the "noise", get a Z-pipe and remove the power duct cover and intake duct across the radiator. That will give you all the noise you want.

ok well looking at this intake, i am having trouble deciding between the 3.5in Weapon r intake and this injen cai with the aem bypass valve...Which should i choose? I like both a lot and price is not an issue...I just started a job at a performance shop, so i get the price that the store pays for, for the part from the wharehouse....I'M SO HAPPY anyways, i have access to both jsut having trouble deciding

Ah the man that has never dynoed his car speaks. Or has any info backing up his claims. I have many more dynos that I can easily post when I get time. The Stillen is one of the only intakes that actually produces gains throughout the powerband. And this has been proven time and time again. Your 1/4 times have too many variables in them and prove nothing.
Sure we really are gonna believe someone who 90% of the time has been wrong on this forum.

In a perfect world people would provide detailed information like they demand from others--especially when they do no independent testing/dynoing of their own. They'd also provide links to support their global statements such as "lots of dynos out there".
Oh well, I guess it's far easier demand others spend their money to dyno and then critize their results.

I would like to add that when I dynoed my car with the Injen installed, We noticed a very strange change in torque in the lower RPMS. It was not flat, but in danced tell above 4000 rpms. I cant say it lost HP overall, but I did pull it off the car and replaced it with a Z-tube and feel the engine has way more drivability. The Ingen CAI sure looks nice.
Here is a dyno plot from my M-rev setup. Note the strange Torque curve from the CAI. For everyday driving, Its out of here, welcome Z-tube.
