Northeast Autocross Feeler (Part I):
Northeast G/Z Autocross&Meet Feeler (Part I):
Let’s see who would be willing to go to a Northeast autocross event. This would be a two fold event A) to push your car to its limit in a controlled, competitive, and safe environment B) to meet other G35/350Z enthusiasts.
The first thing we need it to identify autocross sites and clubs in the Northeast (PA, NJ, NY, MA, CT, DE, RI, ME (Maine?), VT, And I suppose Eastern parts of Canada if they’d be willing share their french-fries and gravy for a weekend). Please only identify clubs that are open to the public (i.e. membership not required), and clubs that are spectator friendly would be a higher priority so our G35 friends without the nerve to push their cars could point and laugh at us plowing over cones.
Also, if available, please indicate the size of track the club runs (typical times would be best), the larger the track the better workout for our feet.
I’ll start off.
www.Ner.org Primary Track Ayer, MA (>60 seconds) Secondary Track Loudon, NH (30-40 seconds)
www.FCSCC.com Primary Track Plainfield, CT (45-60 seconds) [not spectator friendly]
www.cartct.com Primary Track Hartford, CT (30-40 Seconds) Secondary Track Bristol, CT (30-40 Seconds)
www.sccnh.org Primary Track Loudon, NH (30-40 Seconds)
www.nepa-scca.com Primary Track Various Northeast, PA (? Seconds)
www.scca-cpr.com Primary Track Phillipsburg, PA (>60 seconds)
Those are the clubs I am familiar with.
www.motorsportsne.com Primary Track Rutherford, NJ (45-60 Seconds)
www.autox4u.com/nnjr.htm Primary Track Englishtown, NJ (45-60 Seconds)
www.nybmwcca.org Primary Track Uniondale, NY (50-60 Seconds)
Those are the clubs that have been suggested by members.
www.autox4u.com/sjersy.htm Primary Track Blackwood, NJ (35 Seconds)
www.phillyscca.com/index.html Primary Track Various Philadelphia Region, PA (35-60 Seconds)
www.autox4u.com/bmwcca.htm Primary Track Bridgewater, NJ (35-45 Seconds)
www.autocrossersinc.org/wp/ Primary Track Aberdeen, MD (50-60 Seconds)
www.nybmwcca.org Primary Track Uniondale, NY (50-60 Seconds)
Those are the clubs I have done preliminary research on but am not familiar with.
Chime in with a nod saying you’d be willing to participate or be a spectator for such an event.
Please note, these events are generally held on a Sunday in the morning (early as 7am) and require you to be prompt if you want to play. Not to mention it would make the rest of us look like @$$holes if everyone shows up late. They last all day until about 5pm. Some do not break for lunch in order to get more action in. Participation is generally 30-40$ and watching is generally Free-5$. Some events I have been to allow for "fun runs" at the end of the day to raise additional money where any driver can drive any car (with permission) and passengers are sometimes allowed.
I think if we can get enough people interested we could do this Late-September to Mid-October before the season is over.
Did I miss any important details? Please share your thoughts. After sufficient response I’ll post up a Poll to see the preferred local. Sound good? Ok, GO…
P.S. Perhaps we can make this a sticky!

Is anyone available to post this in the 350Z Forums?
Check back often as I will update this post instead of making additional posts.

I know there are clubs that run at Nassau Colosseum, Englishtown, and Meadowlands. But I do not know the club names or details so I'll leave those to someone else to provide. I also know their are a whole slew of clubs that run in New York, new Jersey, and Pennsylvania that I just don't know about.
www.motorsportsne.com is the one that runs in Giant Stadium.
www.autox4u.com has all the autox across the country I believe listed.

Well I am looking for clubs that you are familiar with.
It looks like the MotorSportsNE club is public friendly so I'll add it to the list. But they only seem to have Friday events remaining this year the last one being Mid-September.
I've seen the autox4u before but never took a good look at it. I'll add them as I see fit.

Definitely interested. The sad thing is I'm starting school the first week of September. Will not be able to make to any events after. Very disappointed! Was hoping to get more the one course in this year.
Will do on the My350Z link.
