auto up windows not working

Heh. I've not had a good time with my car in terms of problems. This sucks. I have no idea if it's the car, or just stupid little side effects of the rear end accident.

first, the rear view camera conks out, then the stereo starts acting funny, and now, i noticed the auto up on the front passenger and rear driver side windows doesn't work. It auto downs, but not up. The front driver and rear passenger work fine. wtf? Got a service appointment to look at a rattle in the front and stereo. Hopefully they'll be able to fix the window too.

I remember reading about some process to reset the auto up feature.

I could be mistaken - but this is what I remember (search here - this forum had this posted in the last 10 days or so)

I think you have to hold it normally to do a window up and keep the button "held up" for a few more secs. that should "reset" it.

try it

Roll the window down all the way and hold button down for 3 seconds then roll the window up all the way and hold the button in the up position for 3 seconds.

I did 5 seconds myself, that should reset the anti pinch feature.

The window modules do this each time the door panels are taken out and unplugged I think.

Geesh Dopey - yeah, you've got more than your share of issues.
Certainly not the norm for the new G.

Don't give up!
Once you get them sorted out, you'll have a great time in it.

Yep, it was I who had posted re: the same issue a week or two ago. My windows would not auto-down or -up after the window tinting ppl disconnected the window switch. Fixed it by following the procedure already posted in the thread.

thanks for the tip. I did a search, but apparently I'm blind.
I wonder what else hasn't been re-initialized. I know after the accident they had to pretty much disconnect everything while they were working on the car.

I'm betting that infiniti dealer reset the driver and rear passenger door. they did some work on the front driver door at some point, and I had the whistling bulletin done on the rear driver door.

This should be in the FAQ. It's been asked several times now.

Calm down man, just send a PM to Garnet Canuck and he will add it. There is no need for large boldface print.

Thanks Canuck!

You must have heard his large bold print from another thread. See it works.

Geez people, don't assume or read into things what isn't there. I used the bold large font to get the attention of any moderators who might be reading the forum. I also sent Canuck a PM suggesting it be in the FAQ.

Don't be so quick to jump all over somebody, and this will be a nicer place. Sheesh!
