OK, so I'm wondering if any of you know of some menu option or something that I havent found yet and that hopefully it's not just an annoyance in the software.

I generally have my screen set to the "Status" screen so I can see the XM song titles and the miles till my tank is empty. The issue comes when I make or receive a call using the bluetooth in the car. Once the call ends, the screen reverts to the "Map" screen and then I have to OK the warning screen and go back to the "Status" screen.

Is there a way to have it go back to whatever screen you were on before the call? It's really stupid I know, but annoys the hell out of me.

On a similar note, I do NOT have Navigation. However, I noticed that if I make a call or accept a call when playing an mp3 CD, the song will NOT stop playing - I think it just keeps playing in the background on mute. Once the call is over I find myself listening to a different song.

Do you guys who have navigation notice the same issue? Perhaps when you play from your HD or CF?

 

I don't know about playing from HD or CF since I havent been doing it very often, but if I'm listening to the radio or CD, the music mutes while I'm on the phone.

 

yeah, the music mutes during the call, I wouldnt expect it to pause my CD/music box. I would think the system just gives priority of the speaker/mic system to the bluetooth/phone. SO, rather than pausing/muting the music, I am sure in the vehicles mind the signal from the phone just overrides that of the music so you hear your phone. Sorry, thats tough to follow, having a hard time putting what I am thinking in to words. Hopefully it makes sense to someone.

As for it always reverting back to the map screen?!?! I will have to check this out, I usually have mine on map anyways, so I haven't noticed anything weird...

 

Mine goes right back to the map - no warning screen.

 

You are correct in assuming the CF and HD only mutes, not puts on hold, while on a phone call, just like radio, CD or any other music source.
Not sure what screen it reverts back to when the call is ended, though I believe it is the map screen, just like after you reverse (if equipped with rearview camera).

 

It will show the warning screen once if you haven't already ok'd it, I only go to the map screen when I want to use it so mine does the same thing when I end a call.

I tested it and experienced the same

 

When you come out of reverse, the cam goes back to the previous screen (the status screen in my case). It doesnt always go back to the map like ending a phone call does.

 

I can confirm that mine does the same.
