got them back from sandblasting this morning... then got them rebalanced

You're going to have them powercoated with the tires mounted? Or just paint?

can't powdercoat with the tires and valve stems in. I'm just going to have them painted for now. Trying to decide between gloss black and matte black

I masked the tires up last night so the only thing exposed is the wheel itself. Planning on giving them a wipe down with isopropyl alcohol to eliminate any oils or dirt from handling them yesterday. Then applying the first or several coats of etching primer tonight and flat black paint in the morning. To me the flat black is far easier to spray so I'll do that job myself. When I decide to go gloss black I'll simply powdercoat them when its time to change the tires out. I can have them powdercoated with next day turn around time about 7 miles from my place so its pretty convenient. The powdercoater also warranties his work for a year of defects and blemishes which is nice

just finished applying the 2nd coat of primer. Letting them dry for a few hours before I apply the flat black paint
